Looping the Rooms (English Singable Translation)

Album: Looping the Rooms/Lambent Aria

English

Someone pulled the cassette tape
Or pushed the reset button
I’m wandering through a labyrinth
Where going forward is to go back

Through a door I saw myself staring through the same door at my back
Then I turned around and thought
I saw a glimpse of hope ahead
Is this hell, and if it is, then does it have an end in sight?
Will I make it out alive?

Looping Looping Looping Looping
Looping without end
Loop the room again
Loop the room again
Loop the room again

Falling Falling Falling Falling
Falling without sound
Fractals all around
Fractals all around
Fractals all around

Spinning out of control
On an unending road
The air is tinged with sulfur2
No one can hear my SOS

Staving off the hunger pains with fallen fruit from Persephone3
Ringing in my ears right to my skull are discordant polyphonies
If nothing will ever change no matter how far I go, then
Is there any point anymore?

Looping Looping Looping Looping
Looping without end
Loop the room again
Loop the room again
Loop the room again

Falling Falling Falling Falling
Falling without sound
Fractals all around
Fractals all around
Fractals all around

Ahh
I’ll open up the door
Forget anything more
Slip deeper into this mad dream of ours

I’ll keep on going as long as it takes

Looping Looping Looping through the rooms

A singable translation for the lovely Vtuber Aven Atlas, check out the video above! And also be sure to check them out on Twitch and their other social medias!

Translation notes:

1 I’m making up the “falling” part because “fura” is just the beginning of “furakutaru” which is just the katakana-izing the word “fractal”. So really that line means nothing but something needs to be there, haha

2 Original word here is actually iron (“iron-scented oxygen”), but I changed it to sulfur to fit with the theme of hell, and because it rhymes more with the previous lines

3 Persephone isn’t in the original, and the original says the fruit is a pomegranate, but this is a liberty I’ve taken because it is referencing the same symbol. Since there’s the theme of hell, in Greek that’s Hades, and in the Greek myths Persephone ate a pomegranate in the underworld, so I feel like “fallen fruit from Persephone” conveys the pomegranate. Also I needed more syllables and to create a rhyme!
